Education Assistance

To continue to invest in our associates who value lifelong learning, Home Chef offers an Education Assistance program. Associates may receive up to $5,250 for education assistance each calendar year.  


Eligibility

  • Full-time associates (30 hours/week)
  • Must be in good standing
  • 6 months of employment


Eligible Expenses

  • Associate, Bachelor's and Master's degree from an accredited school

  • General Education Development (GED) courses and testing

  • CPA Certifications

  • Course required Textbooks


Reimbursement Requirements

  • Accredited institution
  • A grade of C or better or Pass if the course is Pass /Fail


How It Works

  • Employee should fill out the Education Assistance Request form and send it to their manager for approval, the manager should then send the completed form to the Benefits team at People-services@homechef.com
  • Upon receipt, the Benefits team will review the submission. The determination to approve or deny the request will be made within ten (10) business days after receipt of the completed form and notify the employee if approved or denied.
  • Upon completion of course, an itemized bill and documentation of successful completion of the approved course must be submitted within thirty (30) days to people-services@homechef.com. To be deemed successful in completing a course, achievement of at least a grade of "C" (or equivalent). 
  • Approved expenses will be reimbursed through the regular payroll process in the applicable pay period.
