How to Update Benefits (Life Event)

What is a life event?


A life event is a time in your life where you are experiencing a change in coverage - like getting married, having a baby, or losing coverage from a different vendor. It is during these times you can make a change to your health insurance outside of the annual open enrollment period.


Please note that you only have 30 days from the life event to submit changes, there are NO EXCEPTIONS!


Mobile Access


Download the ADP app and login to your account. Click on "Benefits" under the "Recommended" section. 

     

     


If the "Benefits" section is not recommended on your home page, you can also access this section by clicking "More" on the bottom right

 

To report a life change (adding a spouse, birth of a child, adoption, etc) click the white and blue box "Report a Change"

For this example we have clicked "Add New Child" but please use the option best suited for your life event and press continue on the bottom of the screen.


Make sure all fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are filled out. You will not be able to continue if left blank.



   


Once you enter all changes, on the "Upload Documents" page please upload your proof of change (a document like a birth certificate or marriage certificate) which can confirm your life change. If you do not upload a document in ADP, you must email the document to people-services@homechef.com so our Benefits team can verify the life event.


If you have additional questions about updating your benefits, please Submit a Ticket. 


Desktop Access


Login to ADP at https://workforcenow.adp.com and navigate to "Myself" > "Benefits" > "Enrollments"
